The five-axis machining center system has a significant influence, for example, it plays a pivotal role in various fields such as national defense, military, scientific research, precision machinery, aviation, aerospace, and high-precision medical equipment.
Da Bai Precision Machine Tools (Jiangsu Co., Ltd.) is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development, design, production, and manufacturing of CNC machine tools and CNC tooling machines. The company adheres to the production philosophy of high quality and cost performance, and is committed to building a high-end brand of CNC machine tools. Below, the editor from Da Bai will introduce the types of five-axis machining centers.
Based on structural classification, five-axis machining centers can be divided into two types: horizontal five-axis machining centers and vertical five-axis machining centers. Both horizontal and vertical five-axis machining centers have evolved from conventional CNC machines and conventional vertical machining centers. Conventional CNC machines can only machine the top surface of the workpiece with a single clamping. Conventional horizontal machining centers typically have three linear coordinate axes plus a worktable rotation axis. With the help of the worktable rotation, conventional CNC machines can machine all surfaces except the top surface and the mounting surface with a single clamping of the workpiece.
